I think it’s time for another post… I saw the doctor on Monday and there is good news and a bit confusing news. The good news is that in my knee there is no new bone built, but there is an imflammation on the surface of my bones… So there is no survey needed urgentely. As long as painkillers work. Buuut.. appearantely, as the x-ray shows, do I have a metal plate in my knee! That’s new!! I’ve never heard about that before, my Doctor who operated me didn’t say anything about metal, and there is also no need in putting a metal plate in my knee… it wasn’t broken!! But at least now I know, why I got soft electric shocks all the time in the physio when I was treated with ultrasonics… I just hated this machine, but the physio told me all the time that it’s because of my own electric energy in my body which must be wrong. AHA! Nope… Right know I’m waiting for the report of the operation in Germany, hoping it will arrive finally, and asking myself if that will change anything until I’ll be back in Germany in Summer. I don’t think that the doctors want and could do something here. And now I can’t concentrate on writing anymore ’cause Francesca and Sefora are talking italian all the time… loudly!

For example, Tina and I, we moved last wednesday! In 475, the other room for Volly-Girls right next to our old room. And slowly, it looks more tidy and we can start to enjoy living in our new room. The reason was the soon arrival of another Italian girl, Sefora. We are staying here until Christmas and then move back, when Francesca and Jihoon are gone (sniff). What happened next is that I visited the Doctor this Monday, but all in all there is no news… For all who don’t know, my knee was that painful the last two weeks that I sometimes couldn’t even sleep or smile. I just know now that it’s definitively no bursitis, but might be a bone reaction (which ought to get operated). The results of the x-ray are coming next week. So there might be a new “news” section then…
“Raking the unraked” was our motto while raking leaves in Bulstrode Gardens today morning. That was for sure better for my knee than cleaning all the showers with “Cillit Bang” like this afternoon, but also tiring and exhausting for my arms… but I am happy. Isn’t that enough ? cu, I will enjoy a shower in the shiny, brushed and desinfected bathroom now.

So I felt secure to pass the exam and looked even forward to taking it (sometimes I love challenges). But I shouldn’t be proud of my understanding… As I sat in front of my exam sheets, I gotta little bit panicked… All the spoken english words in the course had been replaced through formal english vocabulary, and sometimes I had really no idea what I should choose, because I just couldn’t understand both question or answer … anyway, it’s over! And in the next weeks I will get the results if I passed or failed it. Nonetheless, I did the course and I’m scared of every kind of bacteria or “cross contamination” while handling with food now…^^ So Mummy, be prepared, I’m even more careful in the kitchen now. I could poison other people or myself… Disinfectant forever!

It wa quite funny to prepare guestrooms with the guys after that. They really have no idea (still!) how to cover a bed and all its stuff^^ So I had a lot to laugh at them and their actions and forgetfulness. The rest of the afternoon we tidied up some cupboards with bits and bobs and searched in them for stuff we could keep… I found a lot^^ And in the morning I was allowed to prepare the dough for rolls and to bake them… (the scent of fresh bread is some of the best things you can ever smell)… isn’t that a perfect day??

Our new half scotish, half english voluntary helper thought I’m English and he said to me I wouldn’t sound German but English… ^^ that’s a nice compliment… I know I’ve still a German accent but I really hate that and I’m trying hard to get rid of it… So it’s great to hear that an English guy thought I’m english, and a nice change to the sentence I’ve heard too often in Britain “Let me guess, you are Polish??”… ^^

I had the feeling for almost my whole life, even though I’ve ever been a christian… I always longed for Jesus filling my heart with him, feeling him, meeting him. But somehow I couldn’t do it in Germany, I reckon because I was very passive and not open but expected God to fill my life. What happened this morning in Goldhill Church was then what I always searched for! Thank you Harry for your dream to feel at home there and that we went there today morning… at least I felt at home there, and it’s a great opportunity that I can go there for the next 10 months… Thanks Jesus for placing me here, that my spiritual life finally changed and improved!!!
